Here's what she has to say in an exclusive interview with Review Buzzz

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I’ve always loved to write.  I’m not sure I’d call myself a “writer” to this day, but I enjoy doing it.  I guess always!

How long does it take you to write a book?
I have to be in the right frame of mind, but once I am, the pages flow.  A couple months from when the writing begins, but the actual story and the ideas may have been coming for months and months.

What do you think makes a great story?
Strong characters that readers can relate to and root for.  I, myself, love some witty dialogue as well!

What inspired you to write the book(s)?
My Lily Drake series came about from what I saw as a need in this genre to write about a main character that wasn’t eighteen years old, perky and in dire need of a man to take care of her.  Lily is independent, neurotic at times and sometimes even bitter.  She’s someone I can relate to!

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I’ve got several books going, the Lily series is the only one complete and published.  I really enjoyed writing books one and two, but so far the third book I’m working on now is my hands down favorite.  We’ve gotten to that point with Lily’s character where it’s time for her to shut up or put up, and she’s not a quitter!

What was your favorite part of the book(s)?
The interaction between characters.  Each of the characters I’ve created are unusual personalities, they all have their quirks and sometimes in my own mind, there are some really funny scenarios.

What was the hardest part to write in the book(s)?
Without a doubt the scenes between Lily and her son, Keaton.  They weren’t difficult to write, but they were sometimes emotionally draining.  I have a son close to Keaton’s age and the idea of something happening to him is a really sickening thought.

What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say?
‘Til Death Do Us Part – Lily Drake finds out that being married isn’t always happily ever after.  Sometimes it’s more than just work, it’s a bloody mess.

Do you have a favorite place you love to write?
Definitely.  All of my writing is from the very unprofessional, dog-ridden comfort of my own bed.

How hard is it to get published?
I’m a terrible person to ask this.  Within a couple weeks of querying my manuscript I received word from Inkspell Publishing that they wanted the first Lily Drake book.  I understand typically this is a very difficult process, and I have friends who have written fabulous books and had so little luck in getting them out there.  I was very lucky.

What do your family and friends think about your books?
Well, they love them, of course!  They have to! (At least that’s what they tell me to my face!)

What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I love music, listening to music, playing music, etc.  I also enjoy playing volleyball on a league with my wonderful friends and going canoeing.

Is there an Author that you would really like to meet?
Robert McCammon.  Hopefully he will read this and be intrigued… Call me, Robert!

Who designed the cover of your book?
 The super fabulous, Najla Qamber

If your book was made into a TV series or Movie, what actors would you like to see playing your characters?
Lily – Drew Barrymore or Alyson Hanigan
Mathias – Jackson Hurst
Valentine – Rodrigo Santoro
Bero – Ray Stevenson
Rose – Ellen Hollman
Burchard – Tyler Mane

BLOG NEWS RELEASES Her Master's Kiss by Vivien Sparx

BLOG NEWS RELEASES

Her Master's Kiss by Vivien Sparx

When the writing is good, it’s easy to become immersed in a story. And when the storyline itself is gripping, it is impossible not to put a book down.
If you are looking for great writing, and a storyline that will have you turning pages, you need to download a copy of the Vivien Sparx bestseller, ‘Her Master’s Kiss’. (available now from Amazon)
‘Her Master’s Kiss’ tells the story of a young woman named Renee who is desperate to please her boyfriend, and seeks out the help of a skilled Master to teach her the art of submission.
Unbeknown to Renee, her boyfriend is a lying cheat(!), and when she is confronted by the truth, the simmering tension between Renee and the man who is training her is set to explode.
‘Her Master’s Kiss’ is one of the very few stories to receive acclaim from those who actually live the BDSM lifestyle! Along with several other of Vivien Sparx’s titles, her books with a domination-submission storyline have all been praised.
In less than a year, Vivien Sparx has become one of Amazon’s regular Top 100 erotic romance authors – and ‘Her Master’s Kiss’ has enjoyed almost six months in Amazon’s Top 500 List of bestselling books – that’s an amazing record, and a testament to the young writer.
One of the unique aspects of ‘Her Master’s Kiss’, is the way the author outlines the progress of the romance between the two main characters through a series of daily ‘lessons’. Each day the story’s heroine attends submissive training, she is taught another important lesson that is instructive, entertaining, and informative for those of us who are keen to learn all we can about the world of BDSM.
So compelling is Sparx’s story, weaving BDSM detail with erotic romance, that the original ‘Her Master’s Kiss’ has since led to three bestselling sequels in the series, with rumours that a fifth and final installment will be published before the end of 2013.
If this is your first introduction to Vivien Sparx, then downloading a copy of her mega-seller, ‘Her Master’s Kiss’ from Amazon is the ideal way to find out why so many thousands of new readers are discovering this writer’s talent every day.
Vivien Sparx –make sure she is on your ‘must-read’ list!

Author Interview:

With Review Buzzz

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I was a teenager. I became fascinated by the idea of being a story teller

How long does it take you to write a book?
It all depends – some stories practically write themselves, and others are a hard slog every day. Generally I try to write 2000 words every day I am working

What do you think makes a great story?
Developing a plot in a unique and interesting way is the true test of a story. If the reader is reading the story and feels like they’ve read it all before… then the author has failed to engage the reader – either because the characters are ‘cardboard’, or because the situations lack originality.

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I have written over a dozen stories in the last 12 months alone. By far my favourite is my brand new full-length novel, DECEPTION. I also think The Falcon Falls and The Devil’s Touch are great stories.

What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say?
DECEPTION is an adventure take about a man who gets drawn into an amazing adventure, and along the way deals with sexy, dangerous women, and even more dangerous situations.

Do you have a favorite place you love to write?
I can only write in my home office. I have tried writing in other places, but my office is the only place where I can get true peace and quiet.

How hard is it to get published?
Traditional publishers are very selective (and often wrong) about authors. Being an Indie author is something I am very, very proud of. I like being my own boss and controlling my own schedule.

What do your family and friends think about your books?
Everyone in my family is very supportive.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?
Reading! I aslo love to cook.

Is there an Author that you would really like to meet?
JK Rowling.

Who designed the cover of your book?
I actually did all the cover design work myself. I had spoken to professional companies about creating new covers for all my books, but in the end, I decided to create them all myself.

Where can your readers stalk you?

My Goodreads author page:
Amazon:

Is your book in Print, ebook or both?
All my books are ebooks and available as paperbacks.

Questions from Readers

Marie:Tell us two things about you that not too many people know.

Vivien: When I was younger I actually worked for a year as a pole-dancing instructor!

I am living
with a wonderful man who is twice my age - and I have never been happier.

Ash: Do you mind telling your age? Do you like readers know how old you are or you rather they don't know?

Vivien: I am 23, turning 24 in June.

Jayden: Do you like getting interviewed?

Vivien: Interviews are fun! I interact with EVERYONE on my Facebook page, because I think it is important to keep in touch with readers. After all, they pay me to do this job. That's the same reason I enjoy interviews so much. It gives me a chance to interact with the people who buy my books - and I think it's very important.

K.K: Name two people who have had a great impact on your life?

Vivien: Tony, my boyfriend.

Ron. He was an elderly gentleman who was my athletics coach when I was quite young. He taught me a lot
about discipline, and focussing on my goals.

Maddie Jacobs must be crazy. At least that’s what her mother thinks. Professionally, she’s confident and secure; personally, she’s a hot mess. Not even a marriage proposal from a man who adores her can quell her search for something more.

In need of an escape, Maddie flees to Key West’s most southern island, Bella Key, to rest and recharge at Casa Bonita. Excerpt:

“Good shower?”
Maddie stopped in the doorway, holding the knot of her towel to her chest. Wet strands of hair produced rivulets of water streaming down her shoulders and chest. “Like a new woman. Although, my northern skin can’t handle the tropical sun. Look at my shoulders!” Sunny’s gaze moved from one shoulder to another. Maddie was right, she was more than sun-kissed. Her shoulders practically glowed. “Oh, chica. That’s an angry burn you have there. I have some aloe —” Sunny picked up and put down five different bottles from her dressing table. “—ah, here it is. This’ll ease the pain and cut down on the peeling, too.”
Sunny flipped the top and squeezed a quarter-sized dab of the green gel into her palm. She nodded toward her bed, signaling Maddie to sit. Rubbing the aloe between her palms, she rested one knee on the bed beside her. Maddie gathered her wet hair and flipped it over her shoulder to allow Sunny access to the other. Her body shivered under Sunny’s hands.
“Sorry, this stuff’s cold. I tried to warm it up a little.”
Maddie closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side. “It’s not that. It feels good on the burn. You have a gentle touch.”
Sunny chuckled. “Scooch over a little so I can get your other side.”
Maddie shifted, lifting her feet onto the bed and tucking them under her legs Indian style. Sunny guided her head forward and massaged the aloe along the base of her neck to her shoulder blades, and down to the edge of the fluffy towel. She bent her knee, providing an anchor for Maddie to lean upon. Her inner thighs grazed the thick towel. Sunny closed her eyes and focused not only on Maddie’s sunburned skin, but also on loosening the muscles along her shoulders and upper back.
“I have a confession to make,” Maddie said quietly.
“Other than this is the best massage you’ve ever received?” Sunny snorted.
“Mmm. That too. I-I watched you last night.” Maddie went a few seconds without taking a breath.
Sunny didn’t waver. “I know you did. You were outside of my door.”
“You knew? Why didn’t you stop or say something?” Maddie kept her eyes closed but turned her head toward Sunny as she spoke.
Sunny added another dab of aloe to her palm. “I liked that you were watching me. It turned me on that you enjoyed it too.”
“Never in my life had I thought I’d be attracted, you know, sexually to a woman. It’s different with you. Many things are different with you.” Maddie’s hand trembled as she touched Sunny’s leg, tracing an imaginary line up and down her calf. The rapid rise and fall of Maddie’s back matched the pounding in Sunny’s chest.
Silence filled the room. Sunny had decided against bringing up the episode from the night before unless Maddie did. Now that it was out in the open, Sunny could find out how Maddie felt for sure. “Different, how?”
“You make me feel so focused and honest and alive. I’ve never had that with anyone else before.” Maddie turned and kneeled in front of Sunny. “Would it be forward if I asked you to kiss me?”
Sunny swallowed hard. “Yes, but I like forward,” she whispered as she cupped Maddie’s face with her palms. Dragging her thumb over Maddie’s bottom lip she realized how many times she wanted to taste her lips and explore her mouth over the past two days. Sunny lowered her face and brushed her lips once over Maddie’s. She drew back to study Maddie’s reaction.
“Again,” Maddie whispered, her eyes remained closed.
