                 My Review                           

Come Away with Me by Kristen Proby was a very sweet love story. I am talking rainbows, sunshine, puppies, cute little kittens...you get the picture. With this being said, I honestly enjoyed this book. For me, it is nice to read a book with little angst every now and again. Sometimes I just need a lovely romance where boy meets girl, lots of hot and steamy sex ensues, they fall in love, get married, babies, marriage, old age....lalala. This book has no external drama or bad guy.

He leans down and gently presses his cheek to mine. "Thank you," he whispers.
"For what?" I whisper back.
"For being mine." 

On a beautiful quiet morning, Natalie is out on the beach taking photos of the scenery when she is suddenly confronted by a gorgeous man enraged that she was taking his picture and demanding that she turn over her camera. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, Luke realizes that Natalie has no idea that he is a famous actor (or was one) and she really was taking pictures of the scenery. Needless to say, the man becomes intrigued. Clearly surprised he apologizes profusely and asks her out to breakfast hoping to smooth over their rough start.

And so begins their relationship.

CHARACTERISATION

Luke is a hero to die for – he’s attentive, romantic, pretty nifty between the sheets and really quite devoted to Nat. He’s a beautiful, sexy, sweet, jealous control freak. Luke is...hands down...the one of the most romantic male characters I have stumbled upon in fiction. Some of the things he does for Natalie almost made me cry because they were so overwhelmingly sweet.

"I can't ever imagine my life without you. You are the center of my world, Nat. I want to love you, protect you, fight with you, make babies with you and spoil the shit out of you for the rest of my life."-Luke Williams

Nat has known her share of heartbreak and is slow to trust but she soon opens up to Luke and shares her darkest secrets with him and she is a worthy heroine – fiery, loyal and tenacious. She’s not going to take any crap from anyone, however rich they are and certainly puts Luke through his paces. Nat has her own career and her own money. She does not need Luke but it is truly a pleasure to watch her want Luke in her life. The author does a wonderful job telling Natalie's story; your heart will break for her and then build back up as Nat embraces life and moves forward.

I loved Natalie's profession as a photographer, especially its potential to cause mayhem for Natalie and Luke. Besides the main characters, there's a great cast of supporting characters. The author developed Nat's best friend Jules and she used Luke's and Jules’ families throughout the story to further build your connection to the story. 

SEX QUOTIENT

And oh my Lord  there are ever boat-loads of steamy sex scenes! Seriously, these guys can’t stop doing it! =) Everywhere! The wall, the bed, the bathroom, the shower, the limo, the airplane, the desk, the car, the beach… I’m sure I’m missing a few but this book basically goes from swoon to sex to swoon to sex to more swoon and more sex… mostly vanilla but all hot!

Their story is incredibly steamy and this is an erotic romance that has more sex scenes than you can shake a stick at! Nat has a collection of script tattoos all over her body in places that are hidden by her clothes and the scene where Luke slowly discovers them all is quite the sensual voyage of discovery!

RECOMMENDATION

Their story is stunning – two wounded souls finding salvation together, healing one another. Despite being very sexy, it’s also a beautiful romance and the epilogue is absolutely to die for as it’s told from Luke’s POV, after the whole novel is told from Nat’s. I recommend this book who enjoys a good romance with a healthy dose of sizzling hot sex.

                 My Review                           

Wow. I never expected this book to so good. But, I freaking love it. I definitely find there to be a strong element of creativity in this book. My most favorite genre is supernatural/paranormal. My second most favorite is erotica. This book series has the best of both worlds.  Hats off to the author for putting the best of both genres together so well into one story. 

The story starts about 11,000 years ago, when the God of fertility, Salicyar, watch Earth being flooded and most of mankind be wiped out. In this tragedy, he also looses his beloved, Dimithinia. With a prophecy of her soul twin being born in the modern world and sacrificing the said soul to bring back his beloved, Salicyar, now known as Dyletri, settles for the long haul.

As ages go by, the story focuses on the modern day New York,USA, and we are introduced to Ismini, the twin soul destined to bring Dimithinia back. When Dyletri goes to check on her, the both are knocked off their feat(metaphorically, ofcourse!) by the force of the attraction the feel for each other at the very instant. Hence, starts their journey to defy the fates, who are hell-bent on collecting the sacrifice promised to them and leting their love prevail.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the first page to the very last. It was humorous and very, very exciting. All of the other gods were snarky and very sarcastic towards each other so that was definitely fun. The interaction of the gods and the human females( namely, Ismini and her friend, Eve) were too witty and funny that had me crackling like a lunatic. 

Blood Flows Deep in the Empire is the first paranormal erotic romance from that I've read and it was definitely one satisfying read. It was seriously hot, sexy and I just loved Dyletri talking dirty to Ismini. Their sex scenes though. Holy smokes...hot, seriously hott! his book was so erotic and I found myself literally clenching my thighs.

The character development  was good. The characters were original and I loved the different elements that they were all they were gifted with. 

All in all, it was a very satisfying read and i look forward to other books in the series.

                 My Review                           

I totally loved this book. It had me hooked right from the star to the very end.

The story was heart breaking, devastating, crude and crass, wittingly funny (I laughed out loud after reading this..some parts were so funny), so frustrating at times and yet so beautiful, heart wrenchingly beautiful.

Jade Tayte. Jade is your typical 19 year old university student for whom life is one big party and she is the show stopper. Commitment and settling down is so far down her list that it’s practically non-existent. But then, BOOM! One phone call and everything she ever dreamed of went down the shithole. In a freak accident, she lost both her parents and her brother Silas is left fighting for his life. When both her grandparents shun themselves from taking care of Silas, the responsibility comes down to Jade for taking on the parenting role for a 12 year old bipolar kid.

Now as she makes Silas her whole life, she gives up everything in the process. Her carefree attitude takes a hike and she struggles to support herself and her brother on the meagre income she earns working in a bar. These were the hardest parts to read. They were heart breaking and I have to say Criss has done a wonderful job in jotting down Silas and Jade’s struggle and pain.

“I'm getting better at pretending in the daylight, around everyone else. I hold it together pretty well, but at night when the darkness surrounds me, when I'm in bed and the gravity of the situation is closing in and engulfing me like black tar, sucking oxygen out of my body and leaving me gasping for breath, I struggle.”

“Silas' pain in my pain….
My pain is my pain….
All loss is my loss….
I don't begin or end. I'm a desolate husk of a fractured being that has no idea how to heal, because nobody wants to save me. Not even Silas, because he's struggling too much with the demons that desperately cling to his soul. And because I define myself within his struggle to be free of them. I am a slave to the drama; a slave to the feeling of helplessness that engulfs me every time Silas struggles to keep his feet walking one step at a time. I wanted so much to be my own person, free an unencumbered, it will never be like that again. I hate that Jade now, she's an accomplishment I'll never know, she left me behind in this chaos, I hate her, I hate me.”

Enters Benjamin Reynolds.

Benjamin Reynolds. Ben is a UFC star in the US. When he gets to know of his mother’s terminal illness, he leaves everything behind that comes to Australia to be with his ailing mother. When he decides to join a gym, he didn’t know his life is about to be forever changed. He enters bumps Jade in the shoulder and when he gets a good look at her, he’s instantly attracted to her. Even though she is not normally his type he is drawn to her. Never once to back down from a challenge, he makes it his mission to woo Jade and date her. Since Jade is not at all interested in him, the banter (full of sexual innuendoes)  between the two as they verbally war with each other is totally amusing. These were my favourite parts in the book.

“We’ll I’ve gotta tell ya... you’re fucking losing your touch... because I seriously can’t stomach the idea of your cock getting anywhere near me!” I reply.
“You haven’t even seen my cock... how do you know if you want it near you or not?” he laughs.
That almost has me laughing... seriously... but I can hold back the laugh and compose myself... barely. I channel my inner bitch...
“Send me a picture... I’ll put it with all the other cocks I collect!” I growl.
That nearly has him falling off the treadmill, but he regains his stride.

"You are a delusional, self congratulating, chauvinistic, loudmouth louse of a dickhead donkey fucker." she snarls, and then continues, "If your dick gets anywhere near my vagina, you're going to need a surgical team to reattach it."

“What is your problem?” she asks.
“You... you’re my problem!” I bite... I put more vehemence in that short sentence than I had intended... and now suddenly I’m even more pissed off. I’ve been making it obvious that I’m interested, and she’s been rude! Which has made me behave rudely!
“How am I your problem, fuckface?” she growls.
“Fuckface? Is that an invitation to fuck my face, or have me fuck yours?” I return heatedly.
“How do you make insults into seventies porn come-ons? You’re a freak show of twisted innuendo!” she reasons angrily.

Finally Ben manages to enter Jade and Silas' life completely and manages to make them a part of his family fully. The way they tried to live everyday life and stood strong for each other in the event of Ben's mom's death was beautiful. Jade was so supportive of him and how she became Sabrina's daughter was so amazing. It really brought tears to my eyes just as they came in Ben's

“My mum claims her in that moment, and my heart feels so much pain that I can't understand how something so beautiful can hurt so much. “

“I can't help the tears as they form in my eyes, I can't help the sting in my throat as the pain transcends the confines of my heart and travels up to burn through my oesophagus; I can't prevent the gulping bubble of wrenching pain that erupts from my lungs. I can only place my hand over my mouth and 'will it' that nobody can hear me. “

And last but not the least, the sex between the two of them was so hot. Oh my god! I really needed to fan myself through it.

"Look at me." I growl gutturally. My hips and thrusting is rocking us, rocking the bed, bouncing her head on the pillow beneath it.
She looks up at me with those beautiful green eyes, and I can see the universe hidden in their depths as our eyes lock, and she pleadingly says, "oh, Fuck me."
I feel like I'm crawling inside of her, completely and utterly. The claim she has on me is complete, I can't imagine doing this again with anyone that isn't her.

"That Sir, is cataclysmic and thank you for calling me God. Your meal will be served when you can breathe again." I say to Ben who has flopped on the bed after coming in my mouth and deciding standing is not what he can currently manage.
"Meal?" he asks groggily.
"My pussy waits to be devoured." I explain.

"So good, just so good Ben, I feel like I should tear your head off and eat you like a Prey mantis." Jade Puffs.
"Excuse me?" I ask confusedly.

But it wasn't just the sex. The way they both had lost themselves inside each other body and soul was so beautiful. It makes you go to sleep dreaming about that perfect guy you always wanted. *sighs*

Consuming and desperate need is burning a pathway through me, pooling in my pelvis; and I need him to crawl inside my body... entirely inside, like he could be buried within me. My sexual denial is just ludicrous... this man has me body and soul right here... right now... and there’s simply no denying the attraction any more. I’m seriously feeling destroyed... blown apart... like stardust in a distant sky... floating and inconsistent! 

If this was the perfect moment, I’d have washed my hands...
If this moment was perfect... I wouldn’t be standing in my garage looking like I’ve just ridden through the seven gates of hell.
If moments for finally cutting the crap came around with perfect timing; we’d all be perpetually showered, have a stylist on hand to make sure we looked our best and have just realised what was about to occur so we could smell good.
This was nothing like that... it wasn’t anywhere near perfect... but it was right!

Criss Copp has written a perfect book with perfect storyline, a consistent plot and amazing characters. That was the best part of all. The characterization was amazing. You can connect with every single one of them like they are a part of your life.

Enslaved by Shoshanna Evers is one really HOT read! It touches the subject of BDSM relationship in detail where pain and pleasure are main ingredients of people living this lifestyle.

This book tells the story of the relationship that develops between Elisabeth, a self-confessed Sex Slut and Trevor, a mega-rich Dom looking for a woman who can keep up with his sexual appetite.

Elisabeth is a feisty submissive and a self-confessed pain-slut. A pure masochist in nature, she breathes pain as other humans need air to survive.  She came from a horrible ending with her mom, so it's no wonder she's "wired" the way she is. She is shown as a real brat who doesn’t mind disobeying her master and throwing a fit just so she earn a punishment for herself. I actually found some of her attitude to be humorous and sassy.

Trevor is one of the BAD boy billionaires that frequent the club WhipperSnapper. Trevor notices Elisabeth when he sees her there with her former Master and asks for an introduction and to be allowed to borrow her for a scene. They have an instant connection and she is later sent to his home after her relationship with her previous master has been dissolved for over a month. I really loved Trevor’s character.. He may be dominant, but he is also sexy, funny, caring, and a genuinely good guy who is looking for the right submissive to build a life, marrying her and having lots of children. Trevor is the perfect balance of sexy dominant male, and caring gentle lover.

 I believe Ms Evers was trying to show us the true balance in a loving D/S relationship is about finding the other part of your soul that completes you. Where Elisabeth is submissive and wants pain, Trevor is dominant and wants to give pleasure. Elisabeth and Trevor are the perfect yin and yang and you can actually see in their interactions that they would meet each other’s needs perfectly.

Roman is one of the BAD Boys, and Trevor’s best friend. He introduced Marc and Trevor to BDSM back in college at Yale. He is a sadist; he appears to be a cold dominant that goes strictly by the rules, and a playboy who is never seen with the same submissive more than once. He is a self -proclaimed bachelor and plans never to enter a relationship. So logically thinking he would be the perfect candidate to train Elisabeth without getting emotionally attached right. I loved how Ms Evers explained throughout the book the type of person Roman was, because it made it so much easier to love him for the person he became with Elisabeth at the end of the book. I really wish Roman finds his happy ending in the one of the next books in the series.

While Enslaved is not an extremely long book it manages to create characters with depth and give them background. The BDSM world that Trevor and Elisabeth participate in is detailed and intense. If you like you’re BDSM a little on the intense side and while still getting your happy ever after then Enslaved is a book you will enjoy a great deal.

Incredible book.  So I see a lot of people comparing this book to Fifty Shades and honestly I can see the Similar themes, but in my opinion only on a basic level. This book isn't as witty as 50 Shades, but it's almost as interesting. I probably can put about a hundred similarities and dissimilarities between the books, but it would not be fair to either of them.

Eva Tramell. Eva is a 24 year old girl who comes from money but wants to make it on her own in the world. She has recently moved to New York and just started working in the Crossfire building owned by the multi-billionaire Gideon Cross. I absolutely loved her. She had a past that would rock you to your souls and yet so down to earth, tough, a 'go getter' and so funny, her humour just cracked me up throughout. Some of her statements were priceless, but the one that stood out for me was

 "Are you kidding?" I scowled. "Listen to yourself. Why even call it a fuck? Why not be clear and call it a seminal emission in a pre-approved orifice"?

Gideon Cross. Gideon is a 20 something multi-billionaire business man who owns a larger part of the New York’s businesses. He’s your typical alpha male who gets what he wants. He’s hot, sexy and knows the effect he has on woman. And that’s exactly how Eva describes him, dark and dangerous.

The story starts with Eva going to her office an evening before she’s supposed to start working when she runs into him literally and thats how they first meet. Its just an instant connection between then. Sparks fly from the first glance. And my heart went to mush when Gideon opens his mouth and says this

Gideon:"Are you sleeping with anyone"?

Eva : "Why is that any business of yours"?

Gideon:"Because I want to fuck you, Eva. I need to know what's standing in my way, if anything"?

 Their relationship is initially based solely on sex, but their connection is so powerful, that they are overwhelmed with the need to be with one another. They both immediately fall for each other and start learning how to love for the first time.

Gideon’s so messed up but he's trying his absolute best to be everything his girl needs him to be. I love how on the outside he's this unobtainable larger-than-life god but on the inside, he's just a man who wants to be loved by his girl. 

"Oh, Eva." He rubbed his cheek against my damp face. "I must've wished for you so hard and so often you had no choice but to come true." 

"What do you want, Gideon?" I asked softly.
He caught me to him and cupped my cheek in one hand. "I want to keep feeling the way I feel when I'm with you. Just tell me what I have to do. And give me some room to screw up. I've never done this before. There's a learning curve." 

“I’ve always seen you, angel. From the moment you found me, I’ve seen nothing but you.”

They both have pasts that could potentially ruin their new found relationship, it’s a wonder how they make their relationship work. But the characters Eva and Gideon are deep and they change and learn through the whole thing.

[This relationship] is going to be a lot of work, Gideon." I warned him.
"I'm not afraid of work." He was touching me restlessly, his hands sliding over my thighs and buttocks as if caressing my bare skin was as necessary to him as breathing. "I'm only afraid of losing you."
I pressed my cheek to his. We completed each other. Even now, as his hands roamed possessively over me, I felt a thawing in my soul, the desperate relief of being held - finally - by the man who understood and satisfied my deepest, most intimate desires." 

It was very refreshing to see that the author had taken a very realistic approach regarding both the characters. Neither of them were man-whores or virgins before meeting each other.  They had both been in a normal amount of relationships for a couple of mid-twenty year olds.

I also liked the side characters too. Eva's boss Mark and his partner Steven were delightful and fun (makes me wish to have bosses like that too). I also really loved her friend, Cary, he is such a deep character that is clearly hiding a multitude of experiences. We don't get to see much of his past, but you can tell its really heart-breaking. I can't wait to hear more about him. I liked that he was so supportive and loyal to Eva, like a big brother.

There was so much emotional depth to this story which is an absolute must for me. I was able to sympathize with the characters- From watching Eva struggle with issues of self-esteem as well as both Eva and Gideon trying to over-come their abusive past. I can tell you without a doubt, that this book made me feel. 

After reading Bared to You, Sylvia Day officially has a new fan! 5/5 6/5 10/5 100/5 1000/5...huh! Nope, I don't think there is a number big enough to rate this book, and honestly, just even trying to bound this book on a mere number is total injustice!

This is a dark book...dark, dark book- but a damn good one. Its sexy and disturbing, but mostly, its exhausting. I never thought possible that one can feel so aroused, so scared, so loved, so humiliated all at the same time. I had never felt so emotionally drained reading a book- and a person can take only so much at a stretch. So I had to take a lot too many breaks but finally I have come around and finished it.

Seduced in the dark started off where Captive in the dark left off. Caleb had just told kitten her fate to be sold off as a pleasure slave. Livvie is shocked but Caleb is too confused over his feelings for her. He cares for her but his loyalty to Rafiq runs too deep to do the right thing. But finally he comes around and make amends.

C.J. Roberts has painted a very tragic love story. The book starts of with Livvie in the FBI custody after her successful escape attempt(ofcourse with Caleb's help). But the shock comes when she tells everyone that Caleb died in her arms in trying to rescue her. Her grief is palpable.

"Thinking about Caleb hurts, but trying to move beyond my love for him, hurts more. There's no getting past the pain. There is only a different brand of pain available for my eager consumption.” 

“I"ve heard it said, time heals all wounds, but if a dream can pull you so deeply into your past you can't remember the present, I'm not sure my wounds will ever heal. Caleb lives in my dreams.” 
I shut my eyes tightly, willing myself to go back to sleep. I want to go back to my dream, back to Caleb. I can't fucking breathe ! I can't breathe without him. I don't want to.”

The FBI agents are frantic to know about the auction so that they could intervene. agent Reed comes off as a strong character here. Livvie starts narrating her story to him. From here the book goes into flashback mode. As Caleb and his Kitten's story unfolds, the author takes us on a heart-wrenching journey of pain and pleasure, love and hatred, loyalty and betrayal.

Once Caleb realizes he's in love with Livvie (“Mine.The word was a declaration. It rocked him to his very foundation. It was a truth he’d kept hidden for far too long. Caleb didn’t know anything about love, or loving anyone, but he knew… Livvie was his.” ), he knows he has to let her go, not just from the slavery but also from him.. Totally believing he is the monster and monster's can't love, he decides to free her and never go back into her life.

“Kitten,” he said, “monsters can’t love.” He swiped at his eyes, “Now, get out of the truck. Walk toward the border, and don’t ever look back.”

His arms gently guided me back, and when our eyes met, I finally saw the emotions he tried so hard to keep hidden, and the resolve with which he said, “Live for me, Kitten. Be all those things you’d never be with me. Go to school. Meet a normal boy and fall in love. Forget me. It’s time for you to go, Kitten. Time for us both, to go.”

Livvie doesn't want to go but finally obeys.

“I love you, Caleb. I love you! If you care for me at all…please, don’t do this! Please, don’t leave me. I don’t know how to live without you. Don’t make me go back to trying to be someone I don’t know how to be anymore.”

My heart sank, but I knew I had lost the argument and there was no stopping this goodbye. I wanted to kiss him then, just one last kiss to remember him by, but I knew kissing him would only be torture. I wanted to remember our last kiss as being one of passion and connection, not one of sadness and regret.

As I walked, I could feel his eyes on me, the way I could always feel his eyes on me. Tears ran down my face unabashed, but I didn’t move to wipe them away. I had earned those tears, and I would wear them as a symbol of everything I had been through. They represented all the pain I had suffered, the love I felt, and the ocean of loss sweeping through my soul. I had finally learned to obey and never looked back.

Oh, no don't be so sad. Of course there is a happy ending!. But no,I won't tell you. You have to read and find out for yourself. It is a book I can never forget. It shook me to my very core. Never read a story like that. Never! And trust me I have read many, and that's saying a lot as some of them were really great ones
